Ace Allen is running to be the Kansas State Representative for District 28.

Why I’m Running (Again)

I believe more strongly than ever in Kansas’s traditions of progress, innovation, fair-mindedness, and superb public education. We can’t let extremism and fear undermine our foundational bedrock. As a cancer physician for over 35 years, I again offer my hard-won insights and skills that apply directly to identifying and solving problems, and to building a healthier Kansas for the 21st century.

The Kansas legislature continues to defy Kansas values and sound judgment. It doesn’t make sense to reject federal funds for Medicaid expansion, divert public money to private schools, intrude on private medical decisions, or favor the right to unhindered firepower over a child’s right to learn without fear of being massacred. It’s wrong to devote more time and resources to corrupting the voting process than to improving the voting experience for all eligible Kansas voters. It doesn’t make sense that special interests prevail over the interests of Kansans.

District 28 and Kansas need leadership that fights for the vision of Kansas as a model for fairness and opportunity.
